Questions?
Frequently asked questions
Here are some common questions about our company.
Absolutely, we recognize that not every team has the resources to enroll 50-200 phones at a time, and honestly that can be time consuming. We usually estimate that it will take anywhere from 30 min to 1 hour per device even when our team is deploying the phones. Whether you are enrolling existing phones, or enrolling a New N1 Rugged, the process requires some setup and is usually determined ahead of your deployment. With proper planning we can make sure that you have the least amount of down time, and we can even come to site to enroll phones and train your staff.
Reach out and ask for a quote on enrolling your phones - we will work with you to get a list of all the phones, the extensions, and any other required details like additional apps or other requirements so that you will have the best experience once the phones are enrolled.
Hosted entirely in Canada and based on the Open Source Headwind MDM. Nivota Guard focuses on being simple, easy to manage, and provide per device pricing that fit easily in you budget. Our customers use multiple android devices that often get shared between users and don't necessarily need per user pricing that comes with many other MDM options. One of the other differentiators is that Nivota Guard uses RustDesk's open source platform to provide unattended access to your devices. This creates an environment where you are able to support an troubleshoot even if the user isn't in front of the device. Lastly our automated and persistent softphone provisioning ensures that your phones don't fail due to users maliciously or accidently signing out of the app.
The best way to reach our team is by emailing support@nivota.tech, phone support is only available to premium customers and contact info is provided to them once they have been fully setup.
We’re committed to providing prompt and effective solutions to ensure your satisfaction.
We offer a free 30-day initial trial to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the system before we bill for your annual licenses. Most of our customers make a decision with 3-4 days of using the Nivota Guard systems if the MDM will work for you. If for any reason you are not satisfied, and no longer want to use the system, we can potentially refund you for up to 50% of the remaining time on your annual license once all devices have been removed from Nivota Guard.
Android devices like any other technology can at times experience glitches. In our expereince most issues are due to two types of concerns. Either an issue with network connections - which can be a number of issues. Or with a user accidentally disabling or enabling a conflicting setting. Onet of the reasons we built Nivota Guard was to avoid both of these issues.
- For Network Connection issue:
The first place to start is to check if the device is showing that it is connected to the wifi, by default we force-enable wifi on all devices so that we get a persistent connection, and we normally enable a notify on disconnect alert that will alert the user that Wifi disconnected help them to regain a connection. Users can then test network connection by opening a web page. If web pages show up then the issue may be with another portion of the system or settings - For Softphone Connection issue:
When the phone is first enrolled we normally provide a printed QR code specific to that phone extension to be scanned in order to enroll the phone - once this is scanned it will automatically check the provisioning server every time the phone is restarted. After the phone is restarted if the issue persists either scan the QR code that was originally provided or scan the QR code from the online provisioning portal. - Not one of these issues:
Usually this is when we recommend that you contact support. sometimes the issue may be the hardware - if the hardware was provided by the customer you may need to contact the original supplier. Nivota may charge a fee to help troubleshoot non-supplied hardware.
